Classifications at Spine and Peripheral Nerve Diseases

There are many studies on the incidence of spinal trauma, and the average is 10.5 cases per 100,000 population. This translates to approximately one million new spinal trauma patients each year, and the number of patients is increasing each year (Kumar et al., 2018).
The most common mechanisms of trauma are traffic accidents and falls, and are most commonly seen in the lumbar and then thoracic region (Katar et al., 2020). Establishing a common language is of great importance in the follow-up, treatment, and prognosis of these patients (Ozturk, Akyuva & Civelek, 2017). Standardization has become mandatory due to the large number of patients and the complexity of follow-up and treatment. The classifications used are based on the clinical status and radiology of the patient.
